Maybe it's working

I think I'm getting the hang of this teaching thing. I'm getting better at taking home only as much work as I'll get done. I'm learning how to organize and parcel out my work for the week - also known as only doing what I have to. I have lots of ideas for what I want to do with the courses, lessons, and labs. I've even started on redoing some of them. And I've figured out how to do quite a few things better for next time. And if I remember, I might even put in some of the by-the-book things I'm supposed to be doing. In theory.

A co-worker asked me today if I feel in charge now. My reply - maybe in a few years.
