"I am told there are at least a thousand doctors from different jurisdictions that are in Canada that aren't practising," said Dosanjh. "We need to reskill them, retrain them and bring them on stream so they can do what they do best instead of driving cabs," he said following a meeting in Calgary.

Ya know, I heard on the grapevine that there's lots of doctors that come to Canada and aren't practising. Funny, those same names came up on applications to be allowed to practise when they first moved to Canada. And we turned them down. What a weird coincidence.

Retrain them my ass. Lots of those doctors are well trained already, but Canada refuses to acknowledge the fact. Seriously, if you had trained for several years in another country, would you want to train for 7-10 years more here to get the same accreditation you already had? Not I, my good man.
