Ow
I got a couple wisdom teeth out on Thursday. I got lucky, there was no swelling or bruising, and it hasn't been very painful for the most part.
However, I'd noticed a nagging minor pain and a slight gouging of the tongue ever since the freezing disappeared. I assumed it was a stitch, so I cut short the one that looked to be the culprit. But it was still bugging me, so I poked a finger in there to feel what was going on. Lo and behold, there's a pointy chunk of bone sticking out of my gum. And every time I move or flex my tongue, it aggravates it. Do you have any idea how often you move your tongue? ALL THE TIME.
I left a mildly grumpy message on my dentist's answering machine. If they try to charge me for fixing it, I'm going to be angry and vocal.

It was, quite. Imagine a bear clawing the underside of your tongue, and that every time it does, your entire jaw up to your ear gives a nasty painful twinge. I was not pleased with my dentist, to put it mildly.
