Update
So, things that have happened this year (spoiler alert - it's been quite eventful):
- Our original kitty had to be put down due to a growth on his larynx, he was almost unable to breathe near the end; then I cried a lot
- Gave 8 months notice at work (well, it was originally about a month and a half notice, except then we decided to stay several more months in order to avoid having to pay back tens of thousands of dollars in moving costs, that my husband's jackass boss then told us we wouldn't need to worry about but he only decided that about a month before we moved, because helpful. Helpful like a punch in the face, that is)
- Bought an acreage without seeing it beforehand, just outside my husband's hometown
- Moved back to Canada without any job prospects, because reasons. Cute reasons:
