Easter easter la la la

I'm out at the farm for Easter. My parents are having mom's side out for the holidays. Which means a big meal and lots of cleaning, so mom asked if I'd come out early to help. I'm fine with that. Free food!

Courtney and I dyed eggs. 18 eggs were cooked but half of them cracked. Then Courtney decided she was taking her half of the dyed eggs home with her. She's very open about her thefting. Good thing I had Grandma to back me up, the munchkin is very set in her ideas.

My parents got chicks! Just in time for Easter. There's 5 white mini-roosters, 9 black mini-hens, 1 dark brown mini-hen, and 10 light brown mini-hens. I'm all excited for farm eggs again in the fall. I missed them since last year's chickens were butchered.

Since I'm behind on my posting anyways:

  • This is one of the scariest technological advances I've ever seen. I recently read Oryx and Crake by Margaret Atwood, this is far too reminiscent of that. Creeeeeeepy...

Huh, looks like I haven't posted in a while. I'm sure you're all disappointed that I'm breaking my non-vow of silence. This not having a computer thing isn't all it's cracked up to be.

So I got promoted at work, due to Colin getting a job elsewhere. It's amazing how things can change. Before Christmas I didn't think I'd still be at my current place of employment, now I'm even enjoying it. Change is good. Although I'm very sad that Colin left, he was a great guy to work with.

I had a scholarship audition last weekend for the Conservatory voice scholarships, and I managed to get one. The bottom one. I got beaten out by a 15-year old. Am I good, or am I good? I'm also bitter. But hey, money is money. And I put a lot of effort in during the last couple weeks, I know I've been doing a lot better lately. I seem to have figured out how to sing again. It's nice for a change.
